Who we are…
Modern Dōrology is a premier supplier of high-end, bespoke windows and doors for residential, commercial, and hospitality applications. We are a small dedicated and collaborative team obsessed with helping to bring to life incredible projects. Whether it’s an estate-sized new build, a small chic remodel, commercial tenant improvement, or boutique hospitality projects, the goal is always the same— stunning, long-lasting results.

We tend to be selective in the projects we take on, not because we don’t want to work with everybody, but being able to allocate the proper amount of time and energy to every project is very important to us. We put everything we have into each and every project. It’s a big reason why our clients continue to come back to work with us, project after project.

No matter the quality of the product being sold, if there isn’t good project management to back it up, it means nothing.
It may be odd to hear, but even though we are in the business of supplying high-end, luxury windows and doors, we view ourselves as a customer-service-first company. We take great pride making sure our clients have an exceptional experience. Communication is a big part of that secret sauce. From the initial quote, to the shop drawings process, to the delivery and installation of the windows and doors, we are there communicating with our clients and overseeing their projects every step of the way. It may be a high bar to set, but our service has to match the quality of the products we provide.
How we do what we do…
It all starts with longstanding relationships with a vetted and curated stable of certified manufacturers from around the world.
These cultivated relationships not only allow us to buy exceptional quality materials at the lowest cost and pass massive savings along to our clients—40%–50% savings—but it also allows us to work very closely with our manufacturers. This intimate way of working enables us to be very adept to their process, and it is a big reason why we are able to eliminate delays and turn over successful projects time and time again.
In addition to our strong manufacturing partnerships, we run a lean and cohesive team which is equally important. Communication is just as important within the team as it is outside of it. In addition, keeping the team small and our overhead low means greater cost savings for our clients.
Project steps…
The quote allows the client to get a firm understanding of pricing. Depending on the size and scope of the project, this can be completed on the first quote or after several revisions.
First quote is usually generated between 7–10 days, if not sooner.
Quote:
After the client decides to move forward, a 50% down payment is required. This allows for the shop drawings to be initiated.
50% Down Payment:
This is a critical phase of the project as everything in the production process, all measurements and engineering, are based off of these detailed drawings.
First drawings are usually generated within 5–7 days.
Shop Drawings:
Production lead times are very much tied to project size, complexity and manufacturer, but is generally 25-35 days, even for larger projects.
Production:
This part of the process is taken very seriously. Every unit shipped goes through a layered inspection process.
Quality Control:
Units are packed with five layers of protective material / insulation to ensure damage-free transport, guaranteed.
Packing:
Before the cargo leaves the factory, the remaining 50% payment is paid.
Balance Due:
Once the crated cargo is ready to ship, we work hard with our proven logistical partners, enabling us to provide up-to-minute status reports to our clients, as well as on-time deliveries.
All projects are shipped door to door, worldwide.
Transport:
Lead Times…
This is highly contingent on project size, complexity, and where the cargo is being shipped.
General lead times are 60–90 days from the time that the final shop drawings have been signed off on until they arrive at the project site.
